St. Mary's pupils at the final of the 2013 Siansa Gael Linn Music Competition

Music students from St. Mary’s Grammar School, Magherafelt have competed in the final of the 2013 Siansa Gael Linn Music Competition.  

The competition, one of the most prestigious competitions for young traditional Irish music and singing groups, was held in the National Concert Hall in Dublin. The event was attended by President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, and was broadcast live on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta. The St. Mary’s traditional group, Cóiriú, was accompanied by Mr Cuddy (Head of Music), Miss McKillop (Music teacher) and Mr McPhilomey (Head of Irish).
