Commenting on the day, Mrs McGurk said: “The pupils of St. Mary’s swam their hearts out. The standard of swimming was extremely high and many of our swimmers achieved personal bests in their events. Aoife Hutchinson made it through to the final of the Butterfly and finished fifth overall which was fantastic! Conor made it to the finals in both the Breaststroke and the Individual Medley, coming fourth overall in both events. This was a fitting end to his final year at St. Mary’s.” Representing St. Mary’s in the Ulster Grammar Schools Swimming Gala was: Cianan McCann, Andrew McGurk, Orla McEvoy, Eva Kilpatrick, Rory McGurk, Conan Bradley, Sarah McNeill, Aoife Hutchinson and Conor McGurk.
