ST. MARY’S STUDENTS MAKE ART NOT WASTE

Art and Design students from St. Mary’s Grammar School, Magherafelt have taken part in the Regional Final of the RiverRidge Recycling Make Art Not Waste Competition.

The competition, which was open to all Key Stage 3 pupils in the Magherafelt District Council area, invited students to submit artwork that had been produced using at least three recycled materials. The work submitted had to be visually engaging and illustrate the impact an individual effort can have in communicating the waste prevention issue by artistic means. Accompanied by Mrs McErlean, Art Technician, the students attended the judging event at the Magherafelt District Council Office.

The students who took part in the competition were: Lottie Kelly, Erin Mullan, Trea McElhone and Cassie Ni Chathain.
