St. Mary’s is committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all its pupils.
We want our school to be free from all forms of bullying and strive to promote an anti-bullying culture within the school. We believe that it is the responsibility of all members of the school community – pupils, parents and teachers – to work together to minimise incidents of bullying and to challenge any such incidents in our school.
As a school, St. Mary’s operates a zero-tolerance approach to bullying. We will fully investigate any report of bullying and follow this up with appropriate action. All members of the school community should be familiar with the school’s Anti-Bullying Policy.
In St. Mary’s, we have in place an Anti-Bullying Team made up of Sixth Form students. If you wish to discuss any issue related to bullying but do not want to approach a member of staff or your parents/guardians, you can raise your concern with a member of the Anti-Bullying Team who will be able to provide you with advice, guidance and support.
The Anti-Bullying Team poster on display in every classroom. This poster provides details of the students on the Anti-Bullying Team, as well as where and when they are available.
