PRIMARY SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

On Monday we held our annual Primary Schools Tournament. 

This year, we had ten different schools participate: Holy Family; Derrychrin; Ballylifford; Annahorish; New Row St. Patrick’s; Creggan; St. Mary’s, Bellaghy; Lissan; St. Columba's, Straw and St. Brigid’s, Mayogall.

Well done to Holy Family who were victorious in Cup and Shield, with Creggan taking home the Plate.

Several players received special recognition for their performance and sportsmanship: Roman Bradley and Aidan Farmer (Holy Family), Shea Doonan (Derrychrin), Ted Curley (St. Brigid’s, Mayogall), Liam McCusker (Ballylifford), Joe Crozier (St. Mary’s, Bellaghy), Ryan McKee (Lissan), Sean McAuley (Creggan), Peadar Kelly (St. Columba's, Straw), Daniel McGarry and Caolainn McGuckin (Annahorish), and Dara Cushley (New Row St. Patrick’s).

This tournament is going from strength to strength and a great day was had by all. A big thank you to Mr. Conlan, Mr. Hinfey, Mr. Clarke, and Mr. McNicholl for organising such a fantastic event. Thanks also to our Year 11 boys who refereed the games, and to the canteen staff for providing refreshments throughout the day.
