ST. MARY’S DONATES TO CRUSE BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT
On 22 October 2024, St. Mary’s was pleased to welcome Eleanor Ellerslie from Cruse Bereavement Support to collect a cheque from the school on behalf of the charity.
A total of £939.65p was raised on World Mental Health Day through the distribution of green ribbons, the international symbol of mental health awareness.
As a Take 5 Champion School, St. Mary’s encouraged pupils and staff to demonstrate one of the Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing by ‘Giving’ to this worthy organisation. Thank you to Mrs McKinley (Study Centre Supervisor) for making the green ribbons and to the Year 13 students who assisted with this task. Thank you also to the members of the Year 14 Student Leadership Team who visited each Form Class on World Mental Health Day to distribute green ribbons and collect donations. Finally, thank you to pupils and staff for supporting this fundraising activity.
