Head of Music in St Mary’s Grammar School, Miss Una Donnelly, expressed her delight at the students’ recent successes in ABRSM and Trinity Music Examinations, many of whom gained a Merit or Distinction. Congratulations to: Eireann McCusker, Catherine Skelly and Caoimhe O’Kane who achieved Grade 3;  Orla McGurk, Ellen O’Connor, Mary Lagan, Molly McAllister, Lorcan Darragh, Aidan McCloskey and Emma Dace who achieved Grade 4; and, Nicole Clerkin and Faoiltiarna Burke who achieved Grade 5 .

Congratulations to Year 14 student Fintan Devine who has been selected to represent Ireland at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Hanoi, Vietnam in July. Head of Chemistry, Mrs A McGuckin, offered her sincere congratulations to Fintan on his exemplary achievement and paid tribute to his teacher Ms T Mullan, who gave expert guidance in preparing Fintan for such a demanding but prestigious competition.

Congratulations to our Brock team who played Abbey CBS in the Brock Shield final at Sherry’s field in Armagh on Tuesday 6th May. The poor weather conditions failed to dampen the players’ spirits and the game was played at a frantic pace from the first whistle. We won on a score line of 1-19 (22) v 4-8 (20).
