St Mary’s 2:10 St Patrick’s, Armagh 2:9

St Mary’s had a narrow one point victory in a MacRory challenge game on the school pitch on Saturday 4 October. Impressive performances from Michael Donnelly, Donal Carey, Proinsias Burke and Thomas O’Kane capped a fine team performance with all 23 players getting a good solid run out.

St Mary’s face St Paul’s, Bessbrook on Saturday 11 October in their first Macrory league game at the Garvaghy complex, Ballygawley. We wish the boys every success!

ST MARY’S HOST FILMMAKING MASTER CLASS

On the 6 October, the Moving Image Arts department in St Mary’s Grammar School hosted a film editing master class for Year 13 and 14 students in its state-of-the-art iMac studio. The department was delighted that Mr Bill Gilmore and Mr Clark Phillips came from the Nerve Centre in Belfast to deliver the extremely successful and popular all day workshop, which have been running for two years.

MACRORY CUP

St Mary’s opened their MacRory campaign with a defeat to St Paul’s, Bessbrook on Saturday 11 October in Garvaghy. St Mary’s played without a handful of first team players due to injury and aim to improve their performance for the next game v St Macartan’s, Monaghan on Tuesday 21 October.
