GCSE EXAMINATION SUCCESS

Posted on 02nd September 2015

Mrs Gillespie, has described the 2015 GCSE examination results as “simply superb”. Mrs Gillespie reported that a remarkable 99% of students achieved 7 grades at A*-C, including English and Mathematics. Impressively, 66% of all grades were A*/A. Expressing her pride in this year’s set of results, Mrs Gillespie commented: “The results achieved by St Mary’s students this year are exemplary; we had high hopes for this year group but they have surpassed our expectations. The diligent efforts of students, the commitment of staff and the unfailing support of parents and guardians have been duly rewarded by this outstanding success. Pupils who struggled with the demands of some of their subjects were offered mentoring and learning support; such nurturing has proved invaluable! I am humbled and delighted at the achievements of our young people. I congratulate each of them.”
