Caoimhe McKay has recently reached the final of the prestigious, ‘Richmond Centre Miss Earth NI’ competition. Miss Earth, which is one of the top four beauty pageants in the world, is unique because it uses the beauty pageant platform to promote environmental issues. This meant, in addition to questions about hobbies and interests, Caoimhe had to outline how she would utilize such a platform, as part of her application

The eventual eco-beauty winner crowned will join over 90 countries vying for the chance to become an ambassador for environmental protection worldwide. Caoimhe has a deep rooted sense of solidarity and this was illustrated through her role as a CONCERN Ambassador for St Mary’s Grammar School earlier this year. Her work as one of the four CONCERN Ambassadors led to St Mary’s Grammar School raising an incredible £8315.80 for CONCERN Worldwide.

“We wish you every success in the Richmond Centre Grand Final Caoimhe” Miss U Burns

When asked about the Miss Earth competition, Caoimhe commented, ‘It is a privilege to be a part of the ‘Richmond Centre Miss Earth Grand Final as this competition is not based solely on beauty on the outside but instead is also judged on the contestants as a whole’.
