History students enjoyed a number of visits to places of historical interest.  Year 14 students visited Glasnevin Cemetery and Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin as part of their study of Ireland Under the Union 1800-1900 and the Partition of Ireland 1900-25.  Meanwhile, Year 11 pupils travelled to Derry to visit the Siege Museum and the Museum of Free Derry, before enjoying a walking tour of the Bogside as part of their study of Northern Ireland 1965-98.

In  April, Year 14 pupils attended an A Level lecture with historian and author Russell Rees in Rainey Endowed School, Magherafelt.  In February, Year 14 students took part in a focus group meeting Ulster University PhD student, Ellen Bell, who was piloting online history resources.
