The PE Department of St. Mary’s Grammar School has had much to celebrate recently, following a string of notable sporting successes.

Three students from the school have had their sporting excellence recognised in the Ulster Colleges All Star Awards. Year 14 students, Bronagh McGillian and Aine McAllister, will both receive an Ulster Colleges Camogie All Star Award, while Year 13 student, Terence O’Brien, attended a banquet in the Europa Hotel, Belfast where he was presented with a Danske Bank Ulster Colleges Football All Star Award.

In Sportshall Athletics, John Donaghy, a member of the County Derry Sportshall Athletics Team, travelled to Birmingham where he competed in the Sportshall UK Final.  Meanwhile, other students enjoyed success in the Ulster Sportshall Athletics Final.  Aislinn Craig finished second place in the 4 lap race and third place in the 4x2 lap relay.
