Celebrating Achievement

We are truly blessed with wonderfully kind and talented young people in St. Mary's. We seek to recognise and celebrate pupils who consistently give their best in all aspects of school life and live out the values and ethos of St. Mary’s on a daily basis; namely Respect, Compassion, Integrity, and Humility.

We also recognise the importance of celebrating the many achievements of our pupils: academic, sporting, musical, performing, or personal. Each year, an Awards Ceremony is held to recognise and reward the success and achievement of pupils in each Year Group.

At Key Stage 3, pupils are awarded prizes in recognition of excellence throughout the year in terms of effort, attainment, attendance, contribution to school life and the class spirit.

At the beginning of Year 11, pupils are presented with certificates to mark their level of achievement at the end of Key Stage 3.

The achievements of our GCSE and A Level pupils are celebrated at the annual Senior School Awards Ceremony. We acknowledge the outstanding work of our Student Leadership Team led by our Head Boy and Head Girl. Awards are also distributed for attendance, achievement in individual subjects, involvement in clubs and societies, involvement in the community and success in sporting endeavours.
