Positive Behaviour for Learning

In St. Mary’s we expect pupils to demonstrate positive behaviour at all times. We recognise that there is a significant link between pupil’s behaviour, their attitude to learning, and their progress /achievement. Strong communication and partnership between pupils, parents, and staff will help maximise the educational experience of our pupils.

In St. Mary’s, pupils are expected to always adhere to the following in St. Mary’s, both inside and outside the classroom:

Show readiness for learning

Make good choices

Give your best

Addressing Bullying Type Behaviour

St. Mary’s is a welcoming and inclusive school. All pupils are expected to contribute to the school’s anti-bullying ethos by treating everyone with respect. Our Student Leadership Team includes Heads of Anti-Bullying, who support our staff in promoting an anti-bullying culture within St. Mary’s. Our Addressing Bullying Type Behaviour Policy may be found in the ‘Policies’ section of our website and is available from the school office.
